Project DescriptionThis project focuses on the intersection of competition law and informal labor markets. It aims to conduct a longitudinal study of predatory pricing's regulatory and socio-economic impacts on India's street vendors. The research investigates how aggressive pricing strategies by large-scale retailers affect the daily earnings and long-term sustainability of small-scale urban traders. This project is funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research.
Duration
  • Research Associate: 12 months;

  • Research Associate (01 Post) : Post graduate in social science/Law discipline (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil/ Ph.D and 2 years research experience as research assistant in research project.
  • Research Assistant (01 Post) : Post graduate in social science/Law discipline (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil/ Ph.D
  • Field Investigator (06 Posts) : Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks
Monthly Salary
  • Research Associate : Rs. 47,000 per month
  • Research Assistant : Rs. 37,000 Per month
  • Field Investigator : Rs. 20,000/- per month in addition to Travelling Allowance
Selection ProcessSelection will be based on interviews conducted after preliminary shortlisting on the basis of academic qualifications.
