| Project Description | This project focuses on the pharmacological validation of Abresham (Bombyx mori), a traditional Unani medicine, for treating heart failure. The research investigates how this natural product mitigates cardiac hypertrophy (thickening of heart walls) and fibrosis (scarring) triggered by chronic pressure overload. The work involves creating disease models in C57/BL mice, evaluating cardiac function, and performing molecular analysis to pinpoint the signaling pathways regulated by Abresham. This project is funded by AYUSH, Government of India. |
