| Project Description | This Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme funded project at Kumaun University focuses on cold-water fisheries management. The research involves the Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) and Cage culture System for the conservation and production of Schizothorax richardsoni, commonly known as the Snow Trout. Rephrasing is done to implement these advanced farming techniques in various lakes of Kumaun, Uttarakhand. The study aims to protect this indigenous species from population decline while enhancing local fish production through sustainable and controlled aquatic environments. |
