Project DescriptionThis study focuses on restoring damaged grasslands in the high-altitude regions of the Western Himalaya. It uses natural methods to fix soil and plant life, ensuring these areas can continue to provide water and food for local communities. The goal is to make the mountains more resilient to environmental changes. This research is funded by GBP-NIHE under the NMHS scheme.

Qualification
  • Research Associate-I (01 Post) : Ph.D. degree in Botany.
  • Desirable: Alpine ecology.
  • Junior Project Fellow (01 Post) : M.Sc. Botany with minimum 55% marks or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Alpine field survey and sampling.
Monthly Salary
  • Research Associate-I : Rs. 58,000/- plus 18% HRA per month
  • Junior Project Fellow : Rs. 24,000/- plus 18% HRA per month
