The system aims to eliminate "blind spots" by integrating proximity sensors and wireless communication to detect obstacles, personnel, or other vehicles in real-time. The research involves extensive mines visits to collect field data on ranging and signal intensity in dusty, low-light conditions. Engineers use ANSYS and LS-DYNA to perform high-fidelity crash simulations and structural integrity analysis, ensuring the anti-collision hardware can withstand the harsh mechanical stresses of a mining site. It is funded by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. |
