| Qualification |
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Tech./M.E./Postgraduate in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering / Remote Sensing GIS / Geospatial Technology with a four-year B.Tech./B.E. as per ICAR guidelines.
- Young Professional-II (YP-II): M.Tech./M.E./Postgraduate in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering / Remote Sensing GIS / Geospatial Technology / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology.

| Monthly Salary | - Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA for 1st & 2nd year, and Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year.
- Young Professional-II (YP-II): Rs. 42,000/- per month (consolidated).

| Age Limit | - Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Maximum age 35 years (men) and 40 years (women); relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules.
- Young Professional-II (YP-II): Minimum age 21 years and maximum age 45 years as on date of interview; relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per ICAR/Govt. of India rules.
