| Project Description | This project focuses on making our oceans safer by using smart computer brains to listen for unusual movements under the water. By using special fiber-optic cables that can feel even the smallest vibrations, the medical research into ocean health aims to identify different types of visitors, such as boats or divers, automatically. This research is funded by the Naval Research Board (NRB), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to ensure that our underwater borders are protected around the clock. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national security by using light and AI to spot many different threats at the same time, even in the deep and dark sea. |
| Duration | Initially 1 year, extendable up to 2 years or until project completion, whichever is earlier. Possible extension to 3rd year. |

- BE/BTech/MSc/ME/MTech or equivalent in EE/ECE/Instrumentation/Physics or related disciplines, OR
