Project DescriptionThis project focuses on the advancement of maritime safety and structural engineering. It aims to achieve an integrated system for monitoring the health of ship structures while accounting for various environmental and operational uncertainties. The research explores how the reliability of a vessel changes over time due to factors like corrosion and fatigue.

Qualification
  • MTech/ME degrees in Structural Engineering or allied areas from reputed institutions/universities.
  • For SRF: 2 years research experience at JRF level required.
  • CGPA requirement: BE/BTech and ME/MTech with minimum 7.0 CGPA or equivalent with/without valid GATE score.
  • Desirable: Experience in probabilistic modeling, programming (MATLAB, Python, etc.).
Monthly Salary
  • JRF : Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA 24% (if staying outside campus)
  • SRF : Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA 24% (if staying outside campus)
