| Project Description | This project aims to use advanced science and genome editing to design "next-generation" rice roots that work more effectively. The research team is working hard to test how different genetic changes can help a plant drink water faster and stay healthy during a drought. This research is funded by the national science program to support the development of next-generation tools for the agricultural industry. Through this medical research into biological behavior, the team hopes to provide a better treatment for crop loss by building a system that tells scientists exactly which genes to change to make rice plants more productive and tough. |
