IISER Thiruvananthapuram Recruitment 2026 Assistant Engineer, Office Assistant and Various 7 Posts Online Application
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER Thiruvananthapuram) has announced a recruitment drive to fill 7 permanent positions of Assistant Engineer, Office Assistant and Various. Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit applications through online portal on or before closing date of 25-02-2026. Before applying, candidates must carefully review and confirm that all specified eligibility criteria are met.
Assistant Engineer (Civil), Library Superintendent, Junior Technical Assistant (Data Science), Junior Technical Assistant (Computer Science), and Office Assistant (Multi-Skill) are regular non-teaching posts at IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) will oversee planning, design, construction, and maintenance of institutional buildings as per CPWD norms.
Library Superintendent will manage digital library systems, automation, and networking.
Junior Technical Assistant (Data Science) will support data analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning, and scientific data handling, while Junior Technical Assistant (Computer Science) will manage web programming, content management systems, and mobile application development.
Office Assistant (Multi-Skill) will handle office administration, computer-based tasks, and hospitality support.
These are permanent positions under Central Government pay scales with New Pension Scheme benefits.

Mode of Recruitment:
Selection process involves detailed review of received applications followed by Written Test and/or Interview. Applications will be carefully examined, and candidates who meet requirements will be shortlisted. To increase chances of getting selected, candidates must submit as many relevant documents as possible to show suitability for job. List of shortlisted candidates will be published on Institute website and notified via email. Candidates must produce original documents for verification before selection process.
Fee Structure:
Application fee of Rs. 500/- is required to be paid. Payment must be made online through SBI Payment Gateway using UPI, Internet Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from payment of fee.
How to Apply:
Application process involves both online submission and physical dispatch of hard copy. Candidates must first complete online application through official portal on or before deadline of 25-02-2026, followed by sending signed hard copy of application along with supporting documents to reach institute by 03-03-2026 at 17:00 hrs.
- Go to online portal and register to create User ID and Password.
- Fill online application form completely (six stages).
- Save and edit before final submission if needed.
- Submit online application form before 25-02-2026 at 17:00 hrs. No changes permitted after final submission.
- Pay application fee of Rs. 500/- (if applicable) through SBI Payment Gateway. Exempted candidates skip this step.
- After successful payment, confirmation is displayed on screen and email confirmation is sent.
- Take printout of completed application form.
- Attach self-attested copies of all supporting documents: Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets; Date of birth proof; Experience certificates (on organization letterhead with post held, nature of duties, period, pay scale/level); OBC-NCL certificate (valid as on last date, current or immediately preceding financial year, Govt of India format); PwD disability certificate (as per PwD Act 1995 and Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016); No Objection Certificate and Vigilance Clearance Certificate (for candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs); Equivalency certificate (if claiming equivalent pay scale).
- Place signed hard copy application with all enclosures in sealed cover.
- Superscribe envelope: "Application for the post of Post Code" (write specific Post Code e.g., 26-AE-C, 26-LS, 26-JTA-DS, 26-JTA-CS, or 26-OA).
- Send separate envelopes for each post if applying for multiple posts.
- Send envelope by Registered Post or Speed Post to following address, to reach on or before 03-03-2026 at 17:00 hrs:
