| Project Description | This project focuses on the rhizospheric and endophytic microbial ecosystems of hardy legumes like moth bean and cluster bean. The research aims to identify specific bacterial and fungal consortia that confer abiotic stress tolerance (drought and heat) to pulse crops in arid environments. The work involves isolating plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), evaluating their role in nutrient mobilization, and developing microbial inoculants to enhance crop resilience in water-scarce regions. This research is part of ICAR's AMAAS (Application of Microorganisms in Agriculture and Allied Sectors) initiative. |
