Kolkata based CSIR Unit Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB) is inviting online applications for permanent recruitment to 08 posts of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The last date for submission of applications is 04-04-2026 (05:00 PM). The job role involves routine support duties such as maintenance of records, cleanliness of office sections, file handling, and assisting in day-to-day administrative work as assigned by superior officials.

Mode of Recruitment :
Selection process will be based on performance in a Written Examination, which will be conducted in objective-type multiple choice format (OMR based or Computer Based). Questions will be set in both English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.
The standard of the exam will be Class X level. A total of 150 questions will be asked and the total time allotted will be 2 hours. Each question will carry 3 marks, while each wrong answer will cause a penalty of 1 mark.

Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written exam. In case of a tie in scores, the merit will be decided by applying the following criteria in order of preference:
- Older candidate by date of birth will be placed higher.
- If the tie still persists, the candidate who acquired the essential qualification earlier will be placed higher.
- If the tie still persists, alphabetical order of first names will be considered.
Before the issue of the offer of appointment, candidates will be required to undergo detailed document verification, where they must produce all original documents.
Fee Structure :
No Application fee is to be paid by Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates. All others need to Pay Rs 500 as application fee, through online mode.
