IIAP Recruitment 2026 Walkin for Design and Analysis Engineer 3 Posts
Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIAP) is organizing a walk-in interview event on February 9 and 10, 2026, to recruit specialized talent for three Design and Analysis Engineer roles. The initial appointment spans one year, with potential extensions up to three years based on project requirements and individual contributions.
Interested candidates having the requisite qualifications may attend the interviews along with the filled application form and documents related to age, qualification, and experience (if any).
The engineers will be part of an instrument development team handling the design, fabrication, calibration, and testing for ground and space-based astronomy experiments.

Selection at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics is conducted through a direct walk-in interview process. Upon arrival at the institute, a dedicated committee will perform a thorough verification of all academic certificates and professional credentials to confirm eligibility. Following this verification, shortlisted candidates will engage in a technical interview.

Procedure to Apply:
To apply for these engineering positions, eligible individuals must attend the walk-in recruitment drive in person at the IIAP Bengaluru campus. The process involves a manual submission of a filled application form accompanied by self-certified supporting documents during the specific registration window for each discipline.
- Download the prescribed application form from the official IIAP website or the recruitment notification.
- Complete the application form manually and attach a recent passport-size photograph in the allotted space.
- Prepare a complete set of original certificates for age, education, and professional experience for on-site verification.
- Create one set of self-certified photocopies of all relevant documents to be submitted at the time of registration.
- Arrive at the IIA Campus in Bengaluru during the specific registration time designated for the relevant discipline:
- Mechanical: February 9, 2026 (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
- Optics: February 9, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
- Software: February 10, 2026 (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
- Complete the document verification process at the registration desk.
- Participate in the personal interview session once the registration and verification are successfully concluded.
