IGIMS Patna Recruitment 2026 Walkin for Senior Resident (Department of Orthopaedics) 6 Posts
Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS Patna) is conducting a walk-in interview for 6 posts of Senior Resident in the Department of Orthopaedics on a contract basis. The Senior Resident will work in the Department of Orthopaedics under the 89-day ad hoc Senior Residency Programme to support clinical and patient care services. The appointment is temporary for 89 days and will continue until regular recruitment for the three-year tenure Senior Residency posts is completed.

Selection Mode:
Selection process is based on performance in walk-in-interview and a comprehensive marking system totaling 100 marks. Evaluation criteria include MBBS and MS/DNB scores, additional qualifications, research publications, awards, and subject knowledge. Minimum qualifying percentiles are 50 for UR, 45 for BC/EBC/EWS, and 40 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates must report for document verification between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM on day of interview. Final merit list will be prepared based on these parameters.
Application Fees:
Application fee is Rs. 1000 for UR, EWS, and BC candidates, and Rs. 250 for SC, ST, and EBC candidates. Fee is non-refundable and must be paid via Demand Draft in favour of "The Director, IGIMS, Patna". No other payment mode like cash or cheque will be accepted.
How to Apply :
Candidates are required to participate in walk-in interview by following procedural steps and reporting to Patna venue on 23-03-2026. Reach venue by 09:00 AM for mandatory registration and document scrutiny.
- Download given application form.
- Fill application form accurately and affix recent passport-size colour photograph against white background.
- Obtain Demand Draft for appropriate fee amount based on category.
- Candidates must bring original and one set of self-attested copies including Demand Draft in original if applicable,
- Aadhar Card,
- date of birth or SSC or HSSC Pass Certificate,
- MBBS Degree Certificates,
- Internship Completion Certificates,
- MS or DNB Degree or Provisional Degree Certificates, attempt certificate of MBBS and PG degree,
- UG and PG NMC or State Registration Certificates,
- Category or PwBD Certificate if seat is claimed in a reserved category,
- Experience Certificate if any,
- NOC from present employer applicable for those working in Government or Private Organizations, and any other relevant documents such as Research Work or Publication.
- Report at Room no 325, H.O.D. Chamber, 3rd floor, Ward Block, I.G.I.M.S., Patna-14 between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM for registration.
- Note that no reporting will be entertained after 10:30 AM deadline.
