| Project Description | This project focuses on speeding up the development of superior rice varieties by using "Molecular Breeding," which allows scientists to select the best plant traits at the DNA level. As part of a large national network, the research into community health and crop science aims to combine high yield with better grain quality and the ability to survive harsh weather (stress tolerance). This project is funded by the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) to ensure that our nation utilizes a collaborative approach to agricultural innovation, bringing together the best research institutions to improve food production. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national agricultural standards by achieving higher genetic gains, helping the whole community enjoy a more stable and healthy future. |

- Master’s degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences OR Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences
- must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET, GATE qualification, or equivalent, or a Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines.
