Gujarat SET Recruitment 2025 GSET 2025 (For Assistant Professor) Posts Online Application
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, as the Nodal Agency, has announced the 19th Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET). The exam will be held on Sunday, 16 November 2025, to determine the eligibility of candidates from Gujarat State for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges. The test will be conducted in 33 subjects at 11 centres across Gujarat.
Applications must be submitted online before 06-09-2025 after ensuring all eligibility criteria are fulfilled.

Mode of Recruitment :
The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) Examination will consist of two papers. Both papers will include objective type multiple choice questions. The details of the papers are given in the table.

Paper I will include 50 compulsory objective type questions, each carrying 2 marks. These questions will be of a general nature and are meant to evaluate the teaching and research aptitude of candidates. The paper is mainly designed to test reasoning skills, comprehension, divergent thinking, and overall general awareness.
Paper II will consist of 100 compulsory objective type questions, each carrying 2 marks. These questions will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate.
The questions in both papers will be available in Gujarati and English languages, except for language and science subjects.
Fee Structure :
The application fee needs to be paid through online mode only, using a debit card, credit card, or net banking facility. Candidates are required to make sure that the payment process is completed successfully as incomplete transactions will not be accepted. The fee amount varies according to the category of the applicant. Persons with Disabilities including PH and VH candidates will have to pay Rs 100. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Third Gender categories will be required to pay Rs 700. All other candidates who do not fall under these categories will need to pay Rs 900 as the application fee.
How to Apply :
Online forms for the concerned posts in Gujarat State Eligibility Test (Gujarat SET) must be submitted on or before 06-09-2025. Applicants are not required to send any print version. A copy may be saved for later reference.
