Project DescriptionThe project focuses on developing advanced tungsten based alloys and composites for futuristic applications in defense and aerospace by conducting material synthesis characterization and performance evaluation under extreme conditions. The project is sponsored by DRDO and hosted at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering DIAT Pune.
Duration20 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier

Qualification
  • Project Associate (01): B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • Junior/Senior Research Fellow (01): B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics or Chemistry/Computational Mathematics in First Division with NET/GATE qualification OR M.E./M.Tech in relevant fields in First Division at both graduate and postgraduate levels. and
  • minimum 2 years of research experience (for SRF) OR a submitted Ph.D. thesis.
Monthly Salary
  • PA: ₹25,000 + 30% HRA per month
  • JRF: ₹37,000 + 30% HRA per month
  • SRF: ₹42,000 + 30% HRA per month
Age Limit
  • PA & JRF: Maximum 28 years
  • SRF: Maximum 32 years
Selection ProcessInterviews will be conducted for candidates shortlisted initially on the basis of academic qualifications.
