Central University of Haryana is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for 25 faculty positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor across various subjects. The last date for application submission is 26-03-2026 (11:00 PM).

Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic administration in their respective departments. Applicants are advised to carefully verify their eligibility in accordance with UGC, AICTE, or NCTE norms before submitting the application form.

Pay Level - 14 (Entry Pay 1,44,200)

Initial salary will be Approx Rs 2 Lakh per month including allowances (varies depending on location of posting)
Associate Professor
  • Civil Engineering: 01 (PwBD SC)
  • Library and Information Science: 01 (OBC)
  • Geography : 01 (PwBD ST)
  • Teacher Education: 01 (UR), 01 (SC), 01 (ST)
  • Ph.D. Degree in the relevant or related subject with a good academic record.
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
  • At least 8 years of teaching or research experience at the level of Assistant Professor or similar position.
  • Minimum 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • Total research score of at least 75 as per UGC rules.
 Level - 13A (Entry Pay 1,31,400)

Initial salary will be Approx Rs 1.8 Lakh per month including allowances (varies depending on location of posting)
Assistant Professor
  • Sociology: 01 (SC**), 01 (ST**) (Lien vacancies but likely to be permanent)

  • Minimum Educational Qualification
    • A Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
    • A relaxation of 5% (i.e., 50%) is provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories.
  • NET / SLET / SET Requirement
    • Candidates must have qualified UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET.
    • Joint CSIR UGC NET / UGC NET - Valid for Assistant Professor recruitment across all universities and institutions in India.
    • State Level SLET / SET - Valid only for universities/colleges within the respective state.
  • Types of NET Examination
    • UGC NET → Conducted for 85 subjects including Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Social Sciences, etc.
    • CSIR UGC NET (Joint) - Conducted for Science subjects:
      • Chemical Sciences
      • Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
      • Life Sciences
      • Mathematical Sciences
      • Physical Sciences
  • Exemption from NET/SLET/SET (For Ph.D. Candidates)
    • Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree (as per UGC Regulations) are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
    • The Ph.D. must satisfy the following conditions:
      • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
      • Evaluation by at least two external examiners.
      • Open viva voce conducted.
      • At least 2 research papers published (with at least one in a refereed journal).
      • At least 2 research papers presented in conferences/seminars.

Level - 10 (Entry Pay 57,700)

Initial salary will be Approx Rs 90000 per month including allowances (varies depending on location of posting)
  • Age Conditions
    • The eligibility of the candidate will be determined as on the last date of advertisement, i.e., 26-03-2026.
    • Upper Age Limit Relaxation: Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwBD/EWS applicants will be as per UGC/Government of India policies.
  • Other Eligibility Conditions
    • These positions are through permanent Direct Recruitment. Vacancies marked with ** are against lien and are likely to be permanent.
    • Applicants must possess the prescribed qualifications, experience, and eligibility criteria as on the closing date of application.
    • Candidates from all states may apply.
    • Applicants applying for more than one post/department must apply separately and pay fees separately.
    • If no eligible candidate is found in the EWS category, the posts will be considered as UR.
    • Candidates who had applied for Professor (Environmental Studies) and Assistant Professor (Sociology) under advertisements CUH/02/R/T/2024 (23-12-2024) and CUH/02/R/T/2025 (24-06-2025) must apply afresh, with the option to claim a refund of the previously paid application fee.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will be carried out through a screening and shortlisting based on eligibility, qualifications, and relevant experience as per UGC norms. University may restrict the number of candidates invited for interview depending on the number of applications received.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for an interview, which may also include a seminar or presentation to assess teaching and research aptitude. Final selection will be based on overall performance in the interview and evaluation process.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • UR/OBC/EWS category : Rs 1000
  • No application fee will be charged from applicants belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and Women categories.
