CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) is inviting online applications for 5 positions of Hindi Officer and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on direct recruitment basis. Last date for the submission of online application forms and fee payment is 16-02-2026 (up to 05:30 PM). It is essential for candidates to satisfy themselves regarding all eligibility compliance and essential requirements as of the closing date before applying.

The recruitment is for permanent positions, where selected candidates will initially be placed on probation for a period of two years. There is 1 unreserved post available for the Hindi Officer (Post Code-A) and a total of 4 posts for Multi-Tasking Staff (Post Code-B), including 2 UR, 1 SC, and 1 OBC vacancy.

Hindi Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Official Language Policy of the Central Government and handling translation work from English to Hindi and vice-versa. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) role involves various administrative and support duties such as office maintenance, file and document handling, and assisting senior officials in day-to-day work.

Required Experience: 3 years in terminology work/translation or teaching/research in Hindi and English.

Mode of Recruitment :

Hindi Officer (Post Code-A)

Selection to the post of Hindi Officer will be on the basis of Written Examination followed by Interview, with Written Test and the interview carrying 75:25 weightages. For 1 post of Hindi Officer, upto 12 candidates, scoring the highest marks and meeting the threshold marks of 50% in the written examination, will be called for interview.

Negative Marks Total 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. If no option is chosen, no marks will be deducted.

Multi-Tasking Staff (Post Code-B)

Eligible candidates will be invited for a Trade Test. Candidates who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a Written Test. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance in written test.

Mode of Examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Objective type Multiple Choice Examination. The questions will be in English and Hindi (except the English language section). The standard of the exam will be Class X. A total of 150 questions will be asked, and the total time allotted for the examination will be 2 hours.

The written examination for both posts will be conducted in Lucknow. The examination dates will be announced later and will be communicated to eligible applicants.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • UR / OBC / EWS: ₹500/-
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Women: No Fee

How to Apply :

Applications can be submitted online by following the steps mentioned below :

  1. Keep a valid and active email ID ready before registration. It must remain active throughout the recruitment process.
  2. Upload all required documents in original coloured scanned copies, self-attested in blue ink. Documents include:
    1. Fee receipt of Rs. 500/- (where applicable).
    2. Date of Birth certificate, Educational qualification certificates, Mark sheets, and Service certificate for Ex-servicemen (if applicable).
    3. Caste Certificate in Government of India format (if applicable).
    4. PwBD Disability Certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
    5. Higher qualification certificates and experience documents (if any).
  3. Application fee is Rs. 500/- as per the fee payment procedure. SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Other Gender/Ex-servicemen/CSIR Employees and identified Casual Workers in CSIR are exempted from fee payment.
  4. Submit the form well before the closing date of 16-02-2026 (5:30 PM).
  5. A candidate can apply for more than one post code but must submit a separate online application form for each post.
  6. Printout of the online application form is not required to be sent to CSIR-CDRI. However, candidates should keep a copy/printout for their own future reference.
