Assam TET Recruitment 2025 Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teacher Exam 2021 500 Posts Online Application

Department of Education Elementary, Assam has invited application from eligible candidates of Assam State to apply online for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2021. Interested and Eligible Candidates may apply through online mode latest by 24-09-2021, after making sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria. All personal and educational details must be mentioned properly.

NOTE : Test will be only for Paper-I (Lower Primary) and Paper –II (Upper Primary). Candidates who intend to appear in both the papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II will have to pay the fee for both the papers separately and will have to submit separate Online Application.

Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum Qualification for appearing in Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V):

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
• OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
• OR Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education
• OR Graduation with min 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

Minimum Qualification for appearing in Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII):

• Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• OR Graduation with min 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)
• OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
• OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed.
• Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed. OR Graduation with min 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)

Written examination date : 24-10-2021

Mode of Recruitment :

There will be two papers in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2021. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Lower Primary level (classes I to V). Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Upper Primary level (classes VI to VIII).

Duration of examination will be 150 Minutes for Paper-I and 150 Minutes for Paper II. A candidate is required to score 60 % i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). There will be no negative marking.

Fee Structure :

Examination fee will be Rs. 300/- SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH) and Rs 325/- for other candidates for each paper. Fee can be paid online by use of debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

How to Apply :

Interested candidates with qualifications may apply online for concerned posts as per given online application form. No need to send print to Assam Teacher Eligibility Test at this stage. Eligible candidates will be intimated about further proceedings. Keeping a print copy for future use is advised.
