Andhra University is inviting applications for 01 Post Doctoral Fellow position on contract basis in the Civil Engineering domain, offering an opportunity to engage in advanced research and academic activities. The role involves carrying out independent research, mentoring scholars, and contributing to teaching and collaborative academic work. The last date to submit the application is 15-04-2026.

5 years relaxation for SC/ST/LBC/Physically Challenged and Women candidates is applicable

Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) or equivalent from a recognized University with first class in all preceding levels and a consistently good academic record.

Candidate must have obtained Ph.D. within the last 5 years from the last date of application and should not be a Ph.D. awardee from Andhra University.

Fellowship: Rs. 80,000/- per month + 16% HRA (as applicable)

Contingency Grant of Rs 10000 per annum will also be given
Other Eligibility Conditions
  • Candidate must not be receiving any other fellowship or salary during the tenure.
  • Candidates currently in regular employment are not eligible. Also, those in temporary positions must resign if selected.
  • Preference would be given to the PDF applicants who have active industry linkages and their research proposal is directed towards industry specific problems.
Job Nature & Duration
  • Contract / Temporary position.
  • Initial duration of 01 year, Extendable up to 02 years based on performance.

Mode of Recruitment :

Applications will be screened by a University committee, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic record and research proposal. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview where they must present their research work, and final selection will be based on interview performance and proposal evaluation.
