Project DescriptionThis project focuses on the advancement of urban planning and disaster risk management. It aims to achieve a detailed assessment of how changes in land use—such as the loss of wetlands and urban expansion—affect flood risks in Srinagar City. This research is funded by ICSSR.
Duration8 months (initial appointment for 8 months only, may be extendable till 1 year)

Qualification
  • Research Associate (1 Post) : Post Graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks / Ph.D. / M.Phil. / NET / SLET.
  • Preference: candidate having experience as Research Associate.
  • Desired: in depth knowledge in data entry and analysis; skilled with GIS mapping preferred; proficiency in English and strong academic writing skills.
  • Research Assistant (1 Post) : Post Graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks.
  • Preference: candidates with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D. Desired: in depth knowledge in data entry and analysis; skilled with GIS mapping preferred; proficiency in English and strong academic writing skills.
Monthly Salary
  • Research Associate : Rs. 47,000/- per month (As per ICSSR guidelines)
  • Research Assistant : Rs. 37,000/- per month (As per ICSSR guidelines)
