CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI) is inviting online applications from qualified Indian citizens for the recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator (1 Post) and Multi-Tasking Staff (2 Posts) on permanent basis. Last date for submission is 19-02-2026.
The Junior Hindi Translator role involves assisting in the implementation of the Official Language policy and translating official, scientific, and technical documents between English and Hindi. Multi-Tasking Staff responsibilities cover various roles including office maintenance, record keeping, hospitality services, guest house upkeep, and maintaining gardens or green spaces.
CSIR–AMPRI (Bhopal) is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The institute is engaged in advanced research and development in the areas of materials science, industrial processes, and technology innovation.

Junior Hindi Translator
Selection for JHT posts will be made on the basis of an open written competitive examination, having 2 papers. Paper-I will be OMR Based or Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination. The questions will be set both in English and Hindi at a Graduation Level standard.
Paper-II will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the selection committee) in Paper-I. The Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II.
Stage 1: Paper-I (Objective Type)

Stage 2: Paper-II (Descriptive Type)
This paper will assess the writing and translation skills of the candidates. The total marks in the Paper-II exam will be 300 and the time allotted will be 2 hours.
- Writing of a paragraph in English and Hindi separately
- Precis writing in English and Hindi
- Translation from English to Hindi and Hindi to English
Multi Tasking Staff
For MTS Posts, Candidates will be first be called for a Trade Test. Candidates who qualify for the trade test will be eligible to take part in the Competitive Written Examination (CWE). The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the Competitive Written Examination, which consists of one paper.
Stage 1: Trade Test
Trade Test is intended to test the candidate's practical knowledge as mentioned in the Nature of Job/ Job requirement. The Selection Committee will decide the mode of Trade Test and also conduct the Trade Test. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on the candidates.
Stage 2: Competitive Written Examination
The examination will be a Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination. The questions will be set both in English and Hindi except the questions on English language. The standard of exam will be Class Xth (Matriculation). The paper will consist of four parts. It will have duration of 2 hours.

Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks, the priority will be determined in the following order:
- Candidate with lesser negative marks in the Competitive Written Examination will be placed higher.
- Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
- Candidate acquiring minimum educational qualification earlier, placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in which first names of the candidates appear.
Fee Structure :
The application fee is Rs. 500, which must be paid online at the time of submitting the online application form.
How to Apply :
The application procedure will be carried out in three stages: online registration, fee payment, and final submission of the online application form.
- Candidates must use a valid email ID, which should remain active throughout the recruitment process.
- Applicants must upload a recent passport-size scanned color photograph and signature. Each file must not exceed 1 MB.
- Relevant supporting documents such as fee exemption proof or CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificates must also be uploaded, with a maximum size of 1 MB per document.
- Application fee of Rs. 500 must be paid online. However, SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment.
- Candidates may apply for both posts, but separate application form and fee payment will be required for each post.
- After filling in all details and uploading documents, candidates must click on Submit on the draft application and update payment details to complete the submission successfully. Once the application form is submitted, no modifications, corrections, or changes will be allowed
- Candidates are not required to send a hard copy of the application to CSIR-AMPRI after submission. However, it may be required at a later stage during the recruitment process.
