| Project Name | Genetic variations for coronary artery abnormalities and treatment resistance in Indian children with Kawasaki disease using Next-Generation Sequencing: a multi-centric study |
| Project Description | This project focuses on understanding why some Indian children with Kawasaki disease develop serious heart complications (coronary artery abnormalities) or do not respond to standard treatments. By using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) to map the DNA of these patients, the research into community health and pediatric safety aims to identify specific genetic markers that can predict these risks early. This project is funded by the ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), New Delhi, to ensure that our nation leads the way in personalized medicine for rare childhood heart conditions. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national medical standards by combining clinical data with advanced bioinformatics, helping the whole community enjoy a more stable and healthy future. |
