Mode of Recruitment :
The Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2025 and the Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officer Services Examination 2025 will be conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: Objective-type, multiple-choice test.
- Main Examination: Conventional (written) examination.
- Personality Test (Viva-Voce): Interview.
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination will consist of two compulsory objective-type papers with OMR-based answers. Each paper carries 200 marks and will be conducted for two hours. Paper I will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while Paper II will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Paper I will have 150 questions, and Paper II will have 100 questions.
Main Examination
The Written Examination consists of the these compulsory subjects:
- General Hindi (Conventional) – 150 marks
- Essay (Conventional) – 150 marks
- General Studies Paper I – 200 marks
- General Studies Paper II – 200 marks
- General Studies Paper III – 200 marks
- General Studies Paper IV – 200 marks
- General Studies Paper V – 200 marks
- General Studies Paper VI – 200 marks
All papers will be of conventional type, with a duration of three hours each. The examination will be conducted in two shifts: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in General Hindi as set by the Government or Commission.
Personality Test (Viva-Voce) – 100 Marks
The personality test will assess general awareness, intelligence, character, communication skills, and overall suitability for the service.
Fee Structure :
Application fee is Rs 25/- for PH Candidates, Rs 65/- for SC/ST and Rs 125/- for other candidates. Fees should be paid online through SBI collect.
