UKPSC Recruitment 2026 Lecturer (Group C) 808 Posts Online Application
Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has invited online applications for permanent recruitment to 808 Lecturer (Group C) posts under Uttarakhand State Special Subordinate Education Service, with the application deadline set as 20-01-2026. Applicants should ensure that all eligibility conditions are fulfilled before submitting the form.
The recruitment covers Lecturer posts in various subjects for government institutions, involving teaching responsibilities, academic planning, and student assessment.
Notably, Candidates who had earlier applied for the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Lecturer Cadre, Group-C) Service Exam 2024 (Dated 18-10-2024), do not need to apply again under this notification, and their previous applications will remain valid except for the Art subject. However, candidates who wish to submit a fresh application may cancel their earlier application and apply again, but the application fee will need to be re-paid.

- A candidate may apply for more than one subject and category through a single online application. However, Separate application fee and processing fee must be paid for each subject applied for.
- Male candidates may apply for the General branch only. Female candidates may apply for both General and Female branches.
- Reservation benefits are only for permanent residents (domicile holders) of Uttarakhand. Candidates from other states can apply under the Unreserved (UR) category.
- Candidates must possess the required educational qualification and other certificates by the last date of online application, i.e., 20-01-2026. Final year students whose results are not declared by this date are not eligible.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of a written examination, followed by document verification of shortlisted candidates, before the preparation of the final merit list.
Stage 1: Written Examination
The selection process will begin with a subject-wise written examination conducted in objective type format. There will be negative marking, and one-fourth (1/4th) of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The examination will be held at Haridwar & Haldwani centres.
Details of the examination date, time, schedule, and centre will be provided by UKPSC in due course, and we shall update the same accordingly. Candidates will be able to download the admit card using their online registration number and date of birth, well in advance.
Stage 2: Document Verification
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for document verification. During this stage, original certificates related to educational qualification, age, category, and other eligibility claims made in the application form will be verified. Only candidates who successfully complete document verification will be considered for final selection.
Candidates who have applied for more than one subject and have qualified the written examination in multiple subjects will be required to give their preference for posts during Doc verification. Such candidates will be finally selected for only one post, based on their preference and merit.
Final Selection
The final selection will be made on the basis of merit prepared from the written examination, subject to successful document verification and fulfillment of all eligibility conditions as prescribed in the notification.

How to Apply :
Candidates must apply online by following the step-by-step procedure as detailed below.

Initial Registration
- Visit the official website of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.
- Open the relevant advertisement and click on the “How to Apply” link.
- Click on “Apply Now” and complete the registration by generating a login ID and password.
- After registration, basic information will be displayed; verify the details and confirm by selecting the appropriate option.
- Registered mobile number and email ID will receive confirmation messages.

Filling Application Form and Final Submission
- Log in using the generated credentials and proceed to fill educational details such as High School, Intermediate, Graduation, and Post Graduation.
- Add, edit, or delete educational details carefully before proceeding.
- Upload photograph and signature as instructed and confirm that both are correct representations.
- Review all filled details carefully; if required, use the back and edit option before final submission.
- Submit the application form online on or before 20-01-2026 and take a printout for personal record.
- No hard copy of the application form or documents is required to be sent to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission at this stage.

Application Cancel Option
- After final submission, candidates may cancel their application using the “Cancel My Application” option.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number for confirmation. Enter the OTP to finish cancellation.
- Notably, the application fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation.

Application Correction Process
- The application correction facility will be provided after completion of the application process.
- The edit/correction window will remain open from 28-01-2026 to 06-02-2026.
- Applicants will be informed through email and login dashboard about the correction window.
- Only permitted fields can be edited during correction; mobile number and email ID cannot be changed.
- After completion of correction, the edited data will be treated as final.
- No refund of application or processing fee will be allowed due to correction or modification.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, and Practical / Typing Test.
Preliminary Examination (Common for All Posts)
The Preliminary Examination will be an objective type test conducted to shortlist candidates for the next stage. Prelims test will be of 200 marks with 3 hours duration.
The test will assess General Knowledge through multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be required to secure the minimum qualifying marks of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in prelims exam, to be considered for mains. Negative marking will be 1/4th of marks assigned for a question.
Questions will cover General Science, Current Affairs (National & International), Indian History & World History, Indian Geography & World Geography, Legal Glossary, Legal History, Knowledge of Uttarakhand (History, Geography, Economy & Polity Based), Constitution of India, Computer Science & its Applications.
Main Written Examination
The Main Written Examination will be conducted post-wise as per the detailed syllabus and examination scheme prescribed in the notification.
Assistant Review Officer
The Main Examination for Assistant Review Officer will consist of multiple papers including language papers and qualifying practical tests.
- Paper I: English Language – 03 Hours, 200 Marks
- Paper II: Hindi Language – 03 Hours, 200 Marks
- Paper III: Basic Knowledge of Computer Operation (Practical, Qualifying) – 01 Hour, 100 Marks (Minimum 40 Marks required)
- Paper IV: English Typing Test (Qualifying) – Minimum speed of 9000 key depressions per hour
Assistant Librarian
The Main Examination for Assistant Librarian will include theory papers and a qualifying computer practical examination.

- Paper II: Library Science (Theory, Optional – one paper) – 03 Hours, 200 Marks

The Main Examination for Translator will be language-based and will assess translation, drafting, and comprehension skills.

Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared post-wise on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Main Written Examination only, in accordance with the examination scheme prescribed for each post.

How to Apply :
Applications are to be submitted online by following the step-by-step procedure given below.
- Candidates will click on the Apply Online option and complete the primary registration by entering basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID, after which login credentials will be generated.
- Using the registered login credentials, candidates will log in and fill in the online application form with personal details, category, address, and other required information exactly as per original documents.
- Candidates will enter educational qualification details starting from High School onwards and select the post(s) for which they are eligible and wish to apply.
- Candidates will upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and specifications mentioned in the application portal.
- After uploading documents, candidates will verify all the filled details carefully. Candidates will pay the applicable application fee online using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card as per their category.
- After successful fee payment, candidates will complete the final submission of the application form, by 20-01-2026. Corrections can be done between 26-01-2026 to 04-02-2026.
- Once the application is finally submitted, candidates will download and keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
- The application form is not required to be printed or sent to Uttarakhand Public Service Commission at this stage. Candidates should keep a copy with themselves for future use.
