Mode of Recruitment :
The competitive examination will be conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written, Descriptive Type)
- Viva-voce Examination (Interview)
(1) Preliminary Written Entrance (Screening) Examination:
The preliminary written entrance exam will be of objective type, and answers will be recorded on an OMR sheet. The total duration of the question paper will be 3 hours.
The preliminary examination will consist of two parts:
Part-I: General Knowledge
This section will include questions related to current affairs from India and around the world, with a focus on legal topics. Questions may relate to international law, neutrality, recent legislative developments (especially concerning the Indian Constitution), law and legal aspects. However, the content will primarily focus on general awareness relevant to the legal domain.
Part-II: Law
This section will cover questions from various legal acts and laws, including:
- Transfer of Property Act
- Principle of Hindu Laws and Principle of Muslim Laws
- Indian Evidence Act, 1872 & Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023
- Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 & Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023
- Indian Penal Code, 1860 & Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
- Civil Procedure Code, 1908
(2) Main Written Examination and Viva-voce Examination (Interview):
The syllabus for the competitive examination for recruitment to the Uttarakhand Nyayik Seva will include the these subjects.
