Sikkim PSC Recruitment 2025 Sub Inspector 39 Posts Online Application

Sikkim Public Service Commission (Sikkim PSC) is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 39 permanent posts of Sub Inspector. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online on or before 30-06-2025 , after making sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria.

Mode of Recruitment :

The competitive examination is conducted in three stages:

1st Stage: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type - 2 Papers)

  • Serves as a screening test only. Marks are not counted for final merit.
  • Includes:
    • General Studies (150 marks, 2 hrs): Current events, Polity, Economy, Law & Order, Computers, Science, English.
    • Reasoning & Aptitude (150 marks, 2 hrs): Logic, Decision-making, Maths, Statistics.

2nd Stage: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - 50 Marks

Candidates must qualify in all five events. Marks are based on performance level (A, B, C):

  • 100m Race: Timed sprint, one attempt.
  • 1500m Race: Long-distance run, one attempt.
  • High Jump: Up to 3 chances at qualifying level, 1 at each next level.
  • Long Jump: 3 attempts; foul if landing beyond take-off point.
  • Shot Put: 3 attempts with 16lb (male) / 12lb (female); foul if ground is touched outside circle.

3rd Stage: Written Main Examination - 500 Marks

  • Paper I - English (100 Marks, 1.5 hrs): Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Report & Precis Writing.
  • Paper II - General Studies I (200 Marks, 3 hrs): Sikkim Affairs, Ethics, Disaster Management, Polity, History.
  • Paper III - General Studies II (200 Marks, 3 hrs): Science, Geography, Social Issues, Economy.

 

Fee Structure :

An application fee of Rs. 200/- should be paid online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. Candidates are advised to complete the payment process successfully and keep the transaction details securely for future reference.

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online by 30-06-2025. All relevant information should be carefully kept.
