Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2026 Sericulture Inspector, Reeling Foreman and Manager 14 Posts Online Application

Meghalaya Public Service Commission has invited online applications from eligible candidates for 14 permanent posts of Sericulture Inspector, Reeling Foreman and Manager. The last date for submission of online applications is 23-01-2026. Candidates are advised to carefully check eligibility compliance before applying.

The role involves supervision of sericulture activities, technical management of reeling operations, and implementation of departmental schemes related to silk production and development.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates

Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Botany or Zoology with Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture / B.Sc. in Sericulture.

Pay Level 10 (Revised Pay Structure)

Initial salary will be approx 80000 per month

Other Eligibility Conditions
  • Applicants must have acquired the required educational qualification on or before the last date of application (23-01-2026).
  • Applications are open to citizens of all states, with no local language proficiency requirements.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of a Screening Test followed by a Personal Interview.

Stage 1: Screening Test

The Screening Test will be conducted in objective type (MCQ pattern). The test will carry a total of 300 marks.

Sericulture (Domain Subject) 180
Total 300

The examination centres will be Shillong, Tura, Jowai, Williamnagar and Nongstoin.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

Only candidates who qualify in the Screening Test will be shortlisted and called for the Personal Interview. Candidates will be required to produce all original documents related to educational qualification, age, caste, community and other applicable certificates at the time of interview.

Final Merit

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Screening Test and the Personal Interview.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General Category: Rs. 320/-
  • SC / ST (permanent residents of Meghalaya): Rs. 160/-
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWD): Exempted from payment of application fee, subject to submission of valid disability certificate.

  8. Upload the required information as asked in the application form.
  9. Pay the applicable application fee through the available online modes or e-Challan as per choice.
  10. Review the complete application form before final submission.
  11. Submit the application online on or before 23-01-2026 (up to 17:00 hours).
  12. After successful submission, keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
  13. The printed application form is not required to be sent to Meghalaya Public Service Commission at this stage.
