Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) is inviting online applications for several technical positions within Gujarat Maritime Board, including roles such as Executive Engineer, Deputy Executive Engineer, and Assistant Engineer across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines. Mode of Recruitment :
Selection process will consist of a Primary Test (Objective Type) followed by a Personal Interview. All examinations and interviews will be conducted at Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad centers as decided by the Commission.
Primary Test
The Primary Test will be an objective type (MCQ) examination, divided into two parts as structured below:

Shortlisting for Interview
Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview based on their performance in the Primary Test according to the following ratio:
- For 01 vacancy: 06 candidates will be called.
- For 02 vacancies: 08 candidates will be called.
- For 03 vacancies: 10 candidates will be called.
- For 04 or more vacancies: 03 times the number of vacancies will be called.
Personal Interview
The final stage will be a Personal Interview carrying 100 marks. During this stage, the original documents of the candidates will be verified to confirm eligibility. The interview will evaluate the candidate's technical knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for the engineering role.
Final Selection
Final merit list will be prepared by giving 50% weightage to the marks obtained in the Primary Test (scaled down to 50 marks) and 50% weightage to the marks obtained in Personal Interview.
Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -
- General (Unreserved) Category: Rs. 100/- + applicable Service Charges.
- Reserved Categories of Gujarat State (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS): No application fee is required.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen of Gujarat: No application fee is required.
- Reserved Category Candidates from Other States will be treated under unreserved category and Must pay application fee of Rs 100 + applicable Service Charges.
How to Apply :
To apply for these positions at the Gujarat Maritime Board, kindly follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official portal (Gujarat PSC Ojas Portal) and click on the Registration link to enter basic details and obtain a registration number.
- After successful registration, proceed to the Application section and select the relevant advertisement number between 134/2025-26 and 139/2025-26.
- Carefully fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and professional experience in the application form.
- Upload the required photograph and signature. The photograph should measure 5 cm (height) x 3.6 cm (width), and the signature should measure 2.5 cm (height) x 7.5 cm (width). Each file must not exceed 15 KB in size.
- Click on the Save button after entering the details. Information may be edited at any time before final confirmation.
- Review all entered information thoroughly and click on the Confirm button. No changes will be permitted after final confirmation.
- Pay the application fee online if applicable to the General category. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are not required to pay any fee.
- Take a printout of the completed application form and retain it for future reference.
- There is no requirement to send a physical printout or hard copies of documents at this stage. Document verification will be conducted during the interview phase only.
