Goa Public Service Commission (Goa PSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for 38 permanent posts of Junior Scale Officer (Goa Civil Service). Applicants must ensure eligibility before applying. Applications must be made by 19-09-2025.

Mode of Recruitment :

The Goa Public Service Commission has decided to conduct an additional Pre-Screening Test due to the expected large number of applications for the post of Junior Scale Officer in the Goa Civil Service, Government of Goa. This Pre-Screening Test will be conducted prior to the Screening Test and is designed to shortlist candidates efficiently.

Pre-Screening Test Details

  • The test duration will be seventy five minutes.
  • The paper will contain sixty multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer will carry one mark, while incorrect answers will receive zero marks.
  • Maximum Marks: 60 Marks

Screening Test

All candidates who qualify in the pre-screening test, whether in the first attempt or the repeat attempt, will be eligible to appear for the Screening Test. The purpose of the screening test is to shortlist candidates for the next phase.

  • History of India and Indian National Movement – 5 marks
  • Indian Polity and Governance including Constitution, Political System, Panchayat Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues – 10 marks
  • General issues related to Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity, Climate Change, Air and Water Pollution and its Effects, Forest Conservation – 5 marks
  • Science, Technology and Innovation including Startups, Seed Funding, Venture Capital, Angel Funding, Objectives of National Innovation Council, Government Authorities involved in Innovation, Government Initiatives – 5 marks
  • Current Affairs and Events of National and International Importance – 10 marks
  • Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic – 5 marks
  • General English, including Comprehension and Grammar – 10 marks
  • Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 25 marks

Note:

  • Duration of Screening Test (CBRT): 90 Minutes
  • Maximum Marks: 75 Marks

Competitive Written Test

Candidates shortlisted based on the Screening Test results will appear for the Competitive Written Test. The test will be conducted for a total of 250 marks and will consist of the given sections:

The total marks for the Competitive Written Test are 250. In addition, the Oral Interview will carry 40 marks.

How to Apply :

Applications should be filed online by the due date of 19-09-2025, using the facility that is now accessible. Read the instructions very carefully before beginning to fill out the application.
