Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is inviting online applications under Advt 01/2026, for 145 Group A Gazetted posts of Assistant Professors in various disciplines for State Government Colleges under the Department of Education. This recruitment is for permanent positions in pay matrix level-10, and last date for submitting applications is 23-02-2026 (Upto 11 AM).
Selected candidates will be responsible for academic instruction, research activities, and contributing to the administrative functions of their respective educational institutions. Applicants must ensure they comply with the educational eligibility criteria and mandatory requirements before applying.

Mode of Recruitment :
Selection for Assistant Professor Examination 2026 will be conducted through Viva-Voce/Interview only, carrying a total of 100 marks. The Commission will form a Screening Committee to shortlist eligible candidates for interview as per UGC Regulations 2018, and candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3 subject-wise based on their academic score. To qualify for selection, candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the interview (relaxation applicable as per Govt rules).
Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -
- APST candidates: Rs 150
- Other candidates : Rs 200
- PwBD candidates: Exempted from payment of application fee

To apply for the APPSC Assistant Professor Examination 2026, candidates must complete the online registration and application submission process by following the step-by-step procedure given below:
- Complete the mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the online application form. If already registered under OTR, log in directly using the same User ID and password to proceed with the application.
- Fill in all required personal, academic, and post-related details carefully in the online application form.
- Upload the required scanned documents in the prescribed format, including:
- Signature on white paper with a black ink pen (40–50 KB, JPG format).
- Recent passport-size colour photograph (40–100 KB, JPG format, white background, front-facing, without headwear or sunglasses).
- Self-attested Matriculation Certificate/Marksheet showing Date of Birth.
- Self-attested APST certificate (for APST candidates) or Aadhaar/PRC/EPIC (for other applicants).
- Self-attested Bachelor’s Degree certificates and mark sheets.
- Self-attested Master’s Degree certificates and mark sheets.
- Self-attested NET/JRF/NET/SLET/SET certificate (if applicable).
- Self-attested M.Phil/Ph.D certificates as per UGC Regulations (if applicable).
- Research publications, teaching/post-doctoral experience, and awards documents (if applicable).
- PwBD candidates must upload a valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Pay the applicable application fee as per your category. The online application link will remain active from 23-01-2026 (05:00 PM) to 23-02-2026 (11:00 AM).
- Once the application is submitted, no changes or additional uploads will be allowed.
- No printout needs to be sent to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) at this stage. However, candidates should keep a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
