Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to coduct competitive examination (CHSL exam 2018) for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.

Candidates looking forward for this examination, may submit their application only through provided online facility latest by 05-04-2019. Before filling form, candidates are requested to read notification carefully and make sure about meeting eligibility criteria for applied post.

Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 01-07-2019 to 26-07-2019

Mode of Recruitment :

The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III). Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) will be of 200 marks with 100 questions and time duration of exma is 60 Minutes. The Tier-I Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

On the basis of tire I exam, candidates will be shortlisted for tire II examination i.e Descriptive Paper. Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks. The duration of the Descriptive Paper would be for one hour. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of 150-200 words. Skill Test/ Typing Test for the qualified candidates will be conducted on computers provided by the Commission.

Final selection and allocation of Ministries/ Departments/ Offices to the candidates qualified in Tier-III will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in the Tier-I and Tier-II Examinations.

 

Fee Structure :

Application fee of Rs 100/- need to pay. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Exservicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fee.

 

How to Apply :

Interested candidates are requested to submit application only through provided facility on or before the due dates. Fill application well before the last date to avoid last time rush. Candidates must enter all asking detail in online application and upload scan copy of required documents i.e passport size photograph and signature. After final submission of application, take print out of filled in form and retain same for future use. No need to send print to Staff Selection Commission at this stage. Eligible candidates will be intimated about further proceedings.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will consist of Computer Based Examination (Paper I), Descriptive Type (Paper II) and documents verification. Computer Based Examination (Paper I) will have 200 question of total 200 marks with 2 hours duration. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. On the basis of paper I marks, candidates will be called for paper II (Descriptive Type) of 300 marks and 2 hours duration. Final merit list will be made on the basis of combined performance of both paper and documents verification.

 

Fee Structure :

Application fee of Rs 100/- need to pay via BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/ Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
