HPRCA Recruitment 2026 Patwari, Assistant Staff Nurse 842 Posts Online Application

Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) is inviting online applications for 842 vacancies for the posts of Patwari & Assistant Staff Nurse under various departments of state govt. Interested candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility compliance standards regarding age and qualifications before applying by the closing date of 16-01-2026.

Patwari role, under the Director of Land Records, includes maintaining land records and managing local revenue administration. Recruitment to Patwari posts is being carried out under the Job-Trainee Scheme notified by the Himachal Pradesh Government on 19-07-2025. As per the scheme, newly appointed Group A, B, and C employees under the state government will be appointed on a fixed honorarium basis for a period of two years. After successful completion of the two-year training period, regularization will be considered as per the applicable rules.

Assistant Staff Nurse role, under the Department of Medical Education and Research, includes providing nursing care to patients and assisting medical professionals in clinical and hospital services. Recruitment to Assistant Staff Nurse posts is being carried out on a contractual basis for a period of 5 years. There is no provision for consideration of regularization after completion of the contract period.

Age Relaxation
  • Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen candidates who are domiciled in Himachal Pradesh. HP Govt employees are also entitled to this relaxation.
Post Nature & Contract Terms
  • Patwari post is covered under the Job-Trainee Scheme with a fixed honorarium for two years. Regularization will be considered after successful completion of the training period.
  • Assistant Staff Nurse post is purely contractual for a period of five years with no provision for consideration of regularization.
Domicile / Eligibility Conditions
  • For Assistant Staff Nurse Posts, Himachal Pradesh domicile is mandatory.
  • For Patwari Posts, Himachal Pradesh domicile is not mandatory. However, reservation benefits will be applicable only to reserved category candidates of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates from other states are eligible to apply under the UR (Unreserved) category only.
  • Qualification must have been obtained on or before 16-01-2026 (last date of online application). Therefore, candidates whose final year results are awaited are not eligible to apply.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of the following stages conducted in the order given below.

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

The Computer Based Test will be conducted for screening of candidates. The test will be objective type and will be conducted through OMR/CBT mode.

  • The written screening test will consist of 120 questions, with one mark awarded for each question.
  • The duration of the written screening test will be one and a half hours.
  • The minimum qualifying marks will be 45% for General category candidates.
  • The minimum qualifying marks will be 40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, and Wards of Freedom Fighters.
  • The Commission may further relax the qualifying marks by up to 5% on reasonable grounds, to be recorded in writing.
  • If the number of candidates securing the prescribed qualifying marks is less than the number of advertised posts, the qualifying marks may be relaxed by a maximum of 5%, up to 40% for General category candidates and 35% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Wards of Freedom Fighters.
  • If the Computer Based Test is conducted in multiple shifts, the scores of candidates will be normalized using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) for preparation of the merit list.
  • Negative marking will not be applicable.

Stage 2: Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit in the Computer Based Test will be called for document verification. Original documents relating to eligibility, educational qualification, age, category, and other required certificates will be verified.

Stage 3: Preparation of Merit List and Waiting List

While preparing the final result, a category-wise waiting list (panel) will also be prepared. Candidates placed in the waiting list will have no right to appointment except when a selected or recommended candidate does not join. The waiting list will remain valid for a period of one year from the date of sending the recommendation by HPRCA to the concerned appointing authority.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • All Categories: Rs. 700 as examination fee + Rs 100 as processing fee (Total Rs. 800)
  • Correction fee for correction window (if availed): Rs 100

How to Apply :

Applications must be submitted online by following the steps given below.

  1. Registration & Application Form Filling
    • Register on the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog recruitment portal by creating a user account.
    • Log in and fill in personal particulars including Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth exactly as recorded in the Matric Certificate.
    • Complete the One Time Registration by entering educational qualifications, category details, and contact information.
    • Select the concerned post and preferred examination district, wherever applicable.
    • Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format, with maximum file size 1 MB.
    • Verify all entered details carefully before final submission.
    • Pay the applicable application fee through online mode.
  2. Printout & Record Keeping
    • Take a printout of the submitted application form and payment receipt for personal record and future use.
    • No hard copy of the application form or documents is required to be sent to Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog at this stage.
  3. Correction Facility
    • An online correction window will be provided between Jan 19-26, 2026.
    • Corrections in permitted fields may be made during the correction period on payment of a correction fee of Rs. 100.
