4. Visits from India (Jul 11 - 20, 2019) -

  1. Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways ___________ visited UK, to participate in 13th meeting of India-UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) in London. India and UK agreed to set up three new bilateral working groups to tackle barriers in specific sectors including food and drink, healthcare and data services.

5. Visits from India (Jul 21 - 31, 2019) -

  1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Mozambique (________________) -
    1. Its first-ever visit of Defence Minister of India to Mozambique.
    2. India handed over Two Fast Interceptor Boats (FIBs) to Mozambican navy.
    3. India and Mozambique signed 2 MoUs to strengthen defence cooperation. MoUs include an agreement on sharing white shipping information and another on co-operation in the field of Hydrography.
  2. President Ram Nath Kovind Visited West African Nations Benin, Gambia and Guinea.  This visit is the first-ever visit of Head of State/Head of Government of India to each of the three countries.
    1. Benin -
      1. India and Benin signed four MoUs on education, health and e-visa facilities. The signing of the agreement on mutual exemption of visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and official passports and agreement on the fresh line of credit of 100 million US dollars by India to finance development projects in Benin.
      2. India also extended free tele-education courses to over 15,000 Beninese students and tele-medicine courses to 1,000 doctors and paramedics in Africa.
    2. Gambia -
      1. India offered Gambia a grant of US dollars 500,000 in support of skill development and cottage industry project. In addition, the two sides also signed and exchanged a MOU on Cooperation in the field of Traditional Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy.
