Punjab Police Recruitment 2025 Constable (District and Armed Cadre) 1746 Posts Online Application
Punjab Police is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 1746 permanent posts of Constable (in District and Armed Cadre). After ensuring that they meet the relevant eligibility requirements, interested and qualified candidates may submit an online application by 04-04-2024. Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of a common computer-based test followed by PST/PMT. The common computer-based test will consist of two papers. Paper I will have 100 questions, each worth 1 mark, and will last for 2 hours. Paper II (Punjabi Language test) will comprise 50 questions, each worth 1 mark. Based on the performance in the common computer-based test, candidates will be shortlisted for the PST/PMT test.
Physical Screening Test (PST) :
- Male Candidates :
- 1600 meters run to be completed in 7:00 minutes
- Long Jump 3.65 meters
- High Jump 1.10 meters
- Ex-Servicemen Male Candidates :
- 1400 meters walk and run to be completed in 12 minutes
- 10 full squats within 3 minutes
- Female Candidates :
- 800 meters run to be completed in 5 minutes
- Long Jump 2.75 meters
- High Jump 0.90 meters
Fee Structure :
The application fee is Rs 500/- for Ex-Servicemen (ESM), Rs 650/- for SC/ST/EWS, and Rs 1150/- for other posts. Application fees are to be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Punjab Police is taking online applications form eligible Indian candidates for direct recruitment to 144 posts of Sub-Inspectors in District Police Cadre. Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will have three stage process i.e.
- Stage I will consist of three Computer Based, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Papers viz. Paper I, Paper II and Paper III, of which Paper III shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage II will consist of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test will be qualifying in nature.
- Stage III will consist of Document Scrutiny.
Paper I & II will comprise 100 questions each with maximum 400 marks and 2 hours duration. Paper III will be of 50 marks with 50 questions. Total time duration for paper III will be 1 hour.
