Indian Army is inviting applications for the 67th Short Service Commission (Technical) Course commencing in October 2026, offering 350 vacancies for men and 29 for women. These positions are for a Short Service Commission, where officers serve for an initial period with options for release after 5, 10, or 14 years, or can opt for a Permanent Commission after 10 years.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of mentioned stages - Shortlisting of Applications, SSB Interview (Stage I & Stage II), Medical Examination, and preparation of final Merit List.
Shortlisting of Applications
No written examination will be conducted for this entry. The competent authority will shortlist applicants on the basis of marks obtained in the engineering / required graduation degree up to the final year, and will allot selection centres. Shortlisted candidates will be given an option to select SSB dates suitable for them, for a period of two weeks during March 2026. Category-wise and trade-wise cut-off marks will be published in the 1st week of March 2026.
SSB Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a five-day interview process at Selection Centres located in Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (Punjab). The interview will be conducted in two stages:

Medical Examination
Candidates who are recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates who are declared medically fit will be considered for the final merit list.
Merit List
A merit list will be prepared engineering stream-wise based on the marks obtained by the candidate at the SSB interview. Joining letters for 49 weeks long training at Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA) will be issued based on the merit position, medical fitness, and availability of vacancies. Upon completion of pre-commission training, candidates will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies.
Before joining the Training Academy, Candidates must qualify the following minimum physical standards :

How to Apply :
To apply for the Technical Graduate Course through the Indian Army portal, follow these steps:
- Access joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on the Officer Entry Apply/Login option to begin.
- Register your profile using Aadhaar or Matriculation details; if already registered, log in to the dashboard.
- Navigate to the Apply Online link and select the Technical Graduate Course from the eligibility list.
- Complete the multi-part form covering personal info, communication address, and education details. Ensure that name and parents' names match 10th class certificate exactly.
- Enter specific engineering marks and previous SSB interview history if any.
- Use the Save and Continue button at the end of every page to preserve entered data.
- Check the Summary page carefully for errors before hitting the final Submit button.
- Generate and print two copies of the application form (with the roll number) 30 minutes after the portal deadline.
- Do not send any hard copies of the application or certificates to the Indian Army (DG Recruiting) via post at this stage.
- Retain one copy with a self-attested photograph and your signature for personal records and SSB interview.
