The selection process will consist of Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination followed by Physical Standard Test, and Oral / Viva-Voce.
Written Test
The written test will be conducted for all eligible candidates and will be the first stage of the selection process. Biometric verification will be carried out before appearing in the written examination.

Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination
Candidates shortlisted in the written test will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test at the rate of five times the number of vacancies category-wise. Biometric verification will again be conducted during this stage. Candidates will be medically examined before proceeding to the Physical Standard Test.

Physical Standard Test
The Physical Standard Test will be conducted after qualifying the medical examination and PET. Height and chest measurements will be verified as per prescribed standards. This stage will be qualifying in nature and will not carry any marks.

Oral / Viva-Voce
Candidates qualifying the Physical Efficiency Test will be called for Oral / Viva-Voce (carrying 5 marks), at the rate of two times the number of vacancies based on combined marks of Written Test and Physical Efficiency Test.
Final results would be based on the marks obtained as follows:

- Register on the application portal using a valid mobile number and enter personal details exactly as per the HSLC certificate.
- Provide mandatory details during registration including Employment Exchange Registration Number, highest qualification, permanent district, gender, category, date of birth and Aadhaar number.
- After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated which must be saved for future use.
- Log in using the Application ID or registered mobile number along with date of birth.
- Select the relevant advertisement and choose post preferences.
- Fill in personal, educational and other required details carefully as no changes will be allowed after final submission.
- Upload a recent passport size photograph in JPG/JPEG/PNG format with maximum file size of 450 KB.
- Upload a scanned signature done in black or dark blue ink on white paper in JPG/JPEG/PNG format with maximum file size of 100 KB.
- Upload required documents including proof of age, educational qualification certificates and mark sheets, Employment Exchange Registration Card and Aadhaar Card.
- Verify all entered details and submit the online application.
- Generate OTP and download the acknowledgement slip after successful submission.
- No printout of the application is required to be sent to State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam at this stage.
- Applicants may keep a printed or digital copy of the submitted application and acknowledgement slip for future reference.
