West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination for M. Sc. Nursing (JEMScN) to select qualified candidates for admission into the Master of Science in Nursing course in various Colleges and Institutes across the State of West Bengal. The JEMScN-2025 is conducted for the academic session 2025-26. The Board ensures a transparent and fair selection process, adopting state-of-the-art technology for online applications and seat allotment through e-Counselling procedures.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the mentioned eligibility criteria to apply for JEMScN-2025:

• Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed any of the mentioned from an Institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and possess a valid registration/RNRM certificate from any State Nursing Council in India:
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing through distance education
• Work Experience:
  • WB State Government Employees: Minimum of three years of working experience after the publication of the qualifying examination result and by the last date of application.
  • Other Candidates: At least one year of experience before or after publication of the final result and by the last date of application.

Admission Procedure:

The admission process is based on the Common Entrance Test (JEMScN-2025) conducted by WBJEEB. The test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four answer options each, only one of which is correct. The duration of the test is 90 minutes and questions will be in English.

The syllabus is divided into two parts:

• Part A: Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Genetics, Administration, Education, Research and Statistics – 40 questions.
• Part B: Foundation of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrical Nursing, Community Health Nursing – 60 questions.

Scoring methodology includes +1 mark for each correct answer and -0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Application Fee :

• Application Fee: Rs. 3000 (Rupees Three Thousand only).
• Payment Method: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or QR Code.
• The fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.
