West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is responsible for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) into undergraduate programs in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy. The JELET-2025 is aimed at facilitating admission to the second year (third semester) of four-year undergraduate degree courses at Government Colleges, Self-Financing Institutes, and Universities in West Bengal. This process ensures transparency, fairness, and a seamless experience through online application and e-Counselling.



Eligibility Criteria:

The mentiond criteria must be satisfied by candidates applying for JELET-2025:

  • Citizenship: Candidates must hold Indian citizenship.
  • Age Limits:
    • No upper age limit applies to candidates holding a Diploma in Engineering, Technology, D.Voc., or Pharmacy.
    • Candidates with B.Sc. or B.Voc. qualification must not exceed 27 years of age as of December 31, 2025.
    • For Diploma holders in Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2025.
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Diploma Holders: Minimum of three years (or two years for lateral entry) in a relevant Engineering/Technology or Pharmacy stream with at least 45 percent marks (40 percent for reserved categories).
    • B.Sc. Degree Holders: Must have obtained at least 45 percent aggregate marks (40 percent for reserved categories) and passed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

Admission Procedure:

The selection is conducted through a Common Entrance Test, known as JELET-2025, in an OMR-based format.

Candidates will choose their qualifying examination type from Diploma in Engineering/Technology, Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Sc., D.Voc., or B.Voc. A total of two separate papers will be offered:

  • Paper I: Applicable to Diploma in Engineering/Technology, B.Sc., D.Voc., and B.Voc. candidates. It comprises 100 questions distributed over Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Paper II: Meant for Diploma in Pharmacy candidates with 100 questions covering relevant Pharmacy subjects.

All questions will be multiple-choice, written in English, and each paper will last for two hours. Ranking is determined by the total marks scored.



Application Fee :

  • General Male Candidates: Rs. 500
  • General Female Candidates: Rs. 400
  • Third Gender: Rs. 300
  • SC/ST/OBC-Category-A/OBC-Category-B/EWS/PwD Male Candidates: Rs. 400
  • SC/ST/OBC-Category-A/OBC-Category-B/EWS/PwD Female Candidates: Rs. 300
  • SC/ST/OBC-Category-A/OBC-Category-B/EWS/PwD Third Gender: Rs. 200
  • Mode of Payment: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or QR Code.
  • Once paid, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstance.


How to Apply :

Online applications can be made through the provided facility by the due date. Read the instructions thoroughly before filling up the application. Applicants should fill all personal and educational details in the online application at the appropriate place. A printout of the online application should be retained for future use.
