WB JECA 2025 MCA Course Admission Online Application


West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) organizes the Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to the Master of Computer Application (MCA) course, known as JECA 2025. This examination is held for candidates seeking admission into MCA programs offered by various Universities, Government Institutes, and Self-Financing Institutions within the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26. The Board employs an online application process and ensures transparent, error-free counselling and seat allotment through advanced technology.



Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria to apply for JECA 2025 are as :

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Academic Qualification:
    • Applicants must have passed or appeared in the final examination of an undergraduate degree from a recognized University in India in any discipline.
    • Specific eligibility varies by module and institution and includes combinations such as BE/BTech in Computer Science or Information Technology, BSc in Computer Applications, BCA, and other related fields.
  • Mathematics Requirement:
    • Candidates must have passed Mathematics either in the Class 10 or Class 12 examinations or in the Undergraduate program, depending on the specific module and institution

Admission Procedure:

Admission to the MCA course is based on performance in the Common Entrance Test JECA 2025, which is conducted in OMR format. The exam comprises a single paper divided into two categories:

  • Category-I: Consists of 80 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. Negative marking of one-fourth mark applies for incorrect answers.
  • Category-II: Contains 20 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks. No negative marking applies for this section.

All questions are in English. The total duration of the examination is two hours. Candidates are required to mark their responses on a specially designed OMR sheet using a blue or black ink ballpoint pen. Any improper marking may lead to incorrect evaluation and possible disqualification.The final merit is prepared in descending order of marks scored.



Application Fee :

  • Application Fee for General Category: Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred only).
  • Application Fee for Third Gender, SC, ST, OBC-Category-A, OBC-Category-B, EWS candidates: Rs. 400 (Rupees Four Hundred only).
  • Payment Method: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or QR Code.
  • The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.


How to Apply :

Applications for the mentioned courses should be submitted online on or before the due dates. Candidates should fill all of their personal and educational information into the appropriate sections of the online application in accordance with their certifications. Applicants are required to upload a scanned photo of themselves along with their signature and qualification certificates.
