TIFR Admission 2025 Graduate Programs Online Application
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has announced admissions for its Graduate Programs for the academic session beginning on 1 August 2026. The programs include PhD and Integrated PhD options across multiple centers and research disciplines. The admission process is conducted through the Graduate School Entrance Test known as GS-2026, followed by interviews for shortlisted candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should refer to the detailed eligibility criteria provided by TIFR for each subject and program. Requirements differ depending on the discipline and degree level. Applicants with valid scores from national examinations such as GATE, JEST or fellowships like JRF through CSIR, DBT, ICMR or UGC may also be considered. When both GS-2026 and external exam scores are available, the best score will be taken into account.
Important Dates:
The last date to submit the online application is 26 October 2025 up to 11:00 p.m
Hall tickets will be issued in mid-November 2025.
The GS-2026 test will take place on Sunday, 14-12-2025
Admission Procedure:
The first stage of selection is an online entrance test conducted at various centers across the country. Candidates who qualify this stage will be invited to attend one or two rounds of interviews or a written assessment in person, depending on the department. Details of interviews will be announced later by the respective schools or divisions.
Application Fee :
The application fee is non-refundable. Male applicants must pay Rs 1000. Female, transgender and other gender applicants must pay Rs 500. Payment can be made through online banking, card options, UPI and other modes available on the payment gateway.

Those who meet the requirements and are interested may apply online. Applicants should carefully study the guidelines and process for submitting their application forms online. Applicants must post their photo, signature, and qualification certifications in the appropriate place. A copy of the completed application form must be saved for later use.Related :
