NIT Goa Admission 2025 PhD Course Online Application
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa invites online applications for admission to the Ph.D. programs for the academic year 2025–26 (July Session). Admissions are offered for Full-Time (with scholarship), Part-Time, Self-Financed, and Sponsored categories.
Applications are invited for the these departments:
- Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Department of Civil Engineering (CVE)
- Department of Mechanical Engineering (MCE)
- Department of Applied Sciences (APS)
- Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.
For Engineering departments: M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent in the related field
For Humanities and Social Sciences: Master’s degree in Humanities or Social Sciences
Important Dates:
Last Date for Submission of Online Application : 22-06-2025 (till 5:00 PM)
Tentative Date for Intimation of Shortlisted Candidates : 07-07-2025
Tentative Schedule for Written Test and Interview : 14 to 16 July 2025
Admission Procedure:
Admission to the Ph.D. program will be based on the these :
- a) Overall academic performance and a written test conducted by the respective department
- b) Performance in the personal interview
Candidates shortlisted through the written test will be invited for the interview. Final selection will be made based on the combined performance in both stages.
Application Fee :
General / OBC (NCL) / EWS: Rs. 500 per department
SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 300 per department
Candidates applying to multiple departments should pay the application fee separately for each department. The application fee is non-refundable.

Complete the application form by entering all the necessary details in the appropriate fields. Candidates should upload a scan of a passport-size photograph, signature, and other qualification documents in the online application.
