NIBMG Admission 2025 MS PhD Biotechnology Course Online Application
National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani, West Bengal, invites applications for admission to its Integrated MS-PhD program in Biotechnology with a specialization in Biomedical Genomics for the August 2025 session.
This interdisciplinary program is designed to provide rigorous academic and research training, focusing on key areas such as:
- Biomedical Genomics – including research in cancer, infectious diseases, and chronic diseases
- Computational Biology and Statistical Genomics – emphasizing data-driven approaches to genomic science
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any branch of Biological Sciences with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from a recognized institution.

Admission Procedure:
Candidates seeking admission to the Integrated MS-PhD program must qualify in one of the national-level entrance examinations conducted for the 2025 cycle. These include the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS), conducted by NCBS/TIFR in December 2024 (GS-2025), or the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2025) in the Biotechnology (BT) paper, scheduled for February 2025.
Applicants will be shortlisted based on the cut-off scores determined by the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) for each of these examinations. Meeting the cut-off score in either JGEEBILS or JAM-BT is a prerequisite to move forward in the selection process.
The final selection of candidates will be made based on their performance in the interview round. Only those who demonstrate strong potential for academic and research excellence during the interviews will be offered admission into the program.
