NIAB Admission 2025 PhD Course Online Application
BRIC National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, invites applications for admission to its PhD program in Biotechnology for the 2025 to 2026 academic session (RSP II). The program is offered in affiliation with the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad. NIAB pursues basic and translational research in animal health and productivity, including research at the human animal interface, with a mission to improve animal health for human welfare. The campus is located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and provides modern facilities to support multidisciplinary, cutting edge research.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational qualification: A Master degree such as M Sc, M Tech, M V Sc, M Pharm, MBBS or a four year B Tech degree in a relevant branch of life sciences is required.
- Fellowship requirement: Applicants must hold a national research fellowship such as CSIR NET JRF, UGC NET JRF, DBT, ICMR, INSPIRE NET JRF, UGC RGNF or any other equivalent national research fellowship that provides support for five years. Candidates who have only GATE, MPAT or similar certification without a five year fellowship are not eligible.

Admission Procedure:
Admission will be granted on the basis of an interview of shortlisted candidates conducted by video conference. Shortlisting will be based on the eligibility criteria and documentary evidence submitted by applicants. Candidates may be required to attend more than one interview round spread over two days if needed. Final allotment to laboratories will be made on the basis of interview merit and availability.
