Intro : Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) is a state govt sponsored architecture and fine arts university in Hyderabad (Telangana).
University's roots are in College of Fine Arts, which started as a School of Arts and Crafts to promote arts and local crafts. College grown in stature as Government College of Arts and Architecture and was merged into Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1972.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University has been bifurcated and divided into four different universities - JNTU Anantapur, JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Hyderabad, & JNAFAU, Hyderabad in 2008.
