Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali invites applications for admission to the Ph.D. Program beginning in January 2026. Candidates with an independent fellowship such as CSIR, UGC-JRF or equivalent are encouraged to apply. The program is offered in three academic units: Energy and Environment, Quantum Materials and Devices, and Chemical Biology. Selected students will be registered in the Ph.D. Program of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, and the degree will be awarded by IISER Mohali. Applications are open for students from physical sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, agricultural sciences, and other allied disciplines.

Admission Procedure:
The admission process includes shortlisting based on eligibility followed by an interview. The date and mode of interview will be communicated to applicants through email, and the list of shortlisted candidates will also be issued.
