Goa University Admission 2025 PhD (GU PET) Course Online Application
Goa University has announced the PhD Entrance Test (GU-PET) 2025 for admission to various PhD programmes offered by its schools and recognized research centres. The test is scheduled to be held in September 2025 and aims to assess the eligibility of candidates for research in multiple disciplines. Applicants who already hold qualifications such as M.Phil, CSIR-UGC NET, JRF, GATE, GPAT, or other specified national-level certificates are exempted from appearing for the GU-PET.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree with at least 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade. Those with a 4-year bachelor’s degree require a minimum of 75 percent marks. M.Phil degree holders with at least 55 percent marks are also eligible.

Admission Procedure:
Admission is based on performance in the GU-PET, which consists of two papers. Paper I is on research methodology, while Paper II is subject-specific. Each paper has separate qualifying marks, and candidates must achieve at least 50 percent overall. The entrance test score remains valid for two academic years.
Application Fee :
The application fee is Rs. 750 per subject for UR and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, Rs. 375 per subject for SC and ST candidates, and is exempted for persons with disabilities. Candidates may apply for up to three subjects.

By the due date, online applications may be submitted through provided online facility. Before beginning the application, carefully read the instructions. In the appropriate section of the online application, applicants should enter all of their personal and educational information. The online application should be printed out for future reference. At the indicated places, complete the online application form with all necessary information.
