Intro : English and Foreign Languages University is a central govt university in Hyderabad (Talangana). It was Founded in 1958 as the Central Institute of English (CIE) and renamed to Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) in 1972 with addition of 3 major foreign languages. In 2006, it was given central university status. The University has one main campus — at Hyderabad; and two regional centres — one each at Shillong and Lucknow.
