CLAT 2026 Common Law Admission Test Online Application


Consortium of National Law Universities will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 as a national-level entrance examination for admission into undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 25 National Law Universities (NLUs) across India. Along with participating National Law Universities, several other private universities also offer admissions based on CLAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Students appearing in the 2026 board exams are also eligible to apply. For the postgraduate (PG) program, an LL.B. degree or equivalent with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) is necessary.

Admission Procedure:

CLAT exam will test candidates on their aptitude in areas such as English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. Based on CLAT 2026 scores, candidates will be offered admission into the respective National Law Universities (NLUs). CLAT 2026 examination shall be in OFFLINE mode.

Application Fee :

  • General / OBC Candidates: 4,000
  • SC / ST / BPL /PWD Candidates: 3,500


How to Apply :

Candidates need to apply online through official Facility. The process begins with registration using a valid email ID and mobile number, followed by filling out personal, academic, and communication details. Candidates must upload scanned copies of required documents such as photograph, signature, and caste/category certificates (if applicable). The application fee must be paid online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. Once submitted, candidates should download and save the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference.
