CIT Kokrajhar Admission 2025 PhD Course Online Application
The Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar, a Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced admissions for its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes for the January 2026 academic session. The admission process is open to candidates with a valid NET or GATE score. Prospective candidates are invited to apply online for research programmes in various Engineering, Science, and Humanities disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for admission to the PhD programme, a candidate must fulfil the given academic criteria.
- The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field (Engineering, Technology, Design, Science, or Humanities and Social Sciences) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
- A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is applicable for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, as per UGC regulations.
- Admission is contingent upon possessing a valid score in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Admission Procedure:
The selection process for the PhD programme will be conducted in two stages and will be based on merit and interview performance.
Screening: Only applications that are complete in all respects will be considered. Initial screening will be carried out based on the candidate’s valid NET or GATE score.
Final Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a personal interview conducted by the concerned academic department. The final selection will be made on the basis of a combined assessment of the NET or GATE score and performance in the personal interview.
Application Fee :
Application fees is Rs 750/- for SC / ST / PwD Candidates and Rs 1500/- for other candidates. Fees is to be paid through online mode.

Fill all of the information in the online application form at the designated locations. Upload all the necessary certificates, testimonials, and passport-size photographs on or before the last date (i.e. 31-12-225) for submission of the application form.
